Time-lapse and long exposure photography

This was a picture I took with a 3 second shutter.  It was after the timelapse that I did below.

It is fairly time consuming and was a little frustrating learn, but it is well worth it.  Time lapse photography gives a unique perspective on the world.  You get to see time pass at an accelerated rate.  Here is an example that I did a few days ago.

There are many people who do this professionally and it is some of the most spectacular video you will ever see.  Here is an example of someone who does it professionally. This is by Terje Sorgjerd

Amazing to see the rotation of earth in in the night sky.  Terje said, "This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories."

This is art using the existing world.  I plan to capture many more moments in the future.
